New York Gospel Ministries offer services on Wednesdays and Saturdays while they are assisting the people with its food pantry ministries at 350 W. 26th Street, NYC. FRC US Urban Missions tries to partner with its current ministry needs at Manhattan by joining their Wednesday ministry of word and deed.
Manhattan is such a place where so many visitors come and go every year, and thus the need of preaching the gospel is greater in this place. The physical needs as well as the spiritual needs are more pressing in the city as the lifestyle of the city can get more stressful and lonely. It is also encouraging to witness that NYGM tries to reach different ethnic people groups by offering Chinese, Spanish and English services every Wednesday. Jesus commands in Mark 16:16, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Indeed, Manhattan could be described as a spiritual wilderness where the word of God should be preached in season and out of season.
Pastor Young Jae Lee enjoys meeting with people coming from various backgrounds at this ministry, and he is convinced that the gospel is for everybody, the young and old, and the poor and rich.
